The Chronical mentioned that Wat
Ayothaya was builting before the Ayutthaya period. It was the temple of the
Royal Palace of "Ayothaya city".
The ancient monument Wat Ayothaya is no record of
the date of its construction studies on the evidence from the archaeological
excavation and the remains such as Chedi and retnue chedis, recommend that
this temple date back to the middle of Ayutthaya period or about the 15th -
16th century.
