King Ramatipbodi (King U-Thong) (1^th king of Ayutthaya) built the earth wall around the city. In 1549 A.D. King Mahajakapat (15^th king) change the earth wall into brick work. After the fall of Ayutthaya King Rama I of Bangkok period moved bricks of city wall to built Bangkok. Around 1957 A.D. the government did some reconstruction like nowadays.
